Huayhuash and a Piece of Peru
PERU · AUG 2026
A month in Peru. The four of us, deep in the heart of the mountains.
Nine days of trekking in Huayhuash, at altitudes of 4,000–5,000 metres, through incredibly blue lagoons and wide pampas, with snow-covered six-thousanders towering above us, in the company of a local arriero and his donkeys. A lot of effort and exhaustion, pushing our own limits and testing what we were capable of.

Earlier, more than a week of acclimatization in and around Huaraz, across the Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Negra. Local culture and colourful everyday life, full of sounds, conversations with everyone we met – solo español!

Finally, a fascinating touch of the Inca lands: Cusco, Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu.
