About us

We’re a family of four who enjoy long-distance trekking, bikepacking, paddling, and wild camping.

Over the years, we’ve explored Europe on foot, by bike, and by kayak – from multi-day hikes in Iceland, the Lofoten Islands, and the Alps to cycling adventures across Estonia, Bornholm and sections of Poland’s Green Velo route. We’ve also completed several multi-day kayak trips on Polish rivers as well as in Lithuania and Latvia.

We’ve spent many days in the Polish mountains, on both day hikes and multi-day hut-to-hut trips.

Faraway Trails is where we share our experiences from the trail, practical tips, and gear tested on real adventures. Everything you’ll find here has been used by us in real conditions, carrying our own gear and camping along the way.
